In 2024 I started my scholarship for students with an interest in IT at my high school in Valka, Latvia. The scholarship follows the following guiding principles and setup:

• Impactful: The scholarship amount should be big enough to enable students to participate in activities that have an impact on growing their skills and setting them up for success.

• Easily accessible: The scholarship should be available to any high school student willing to put in the work to participate.

• Growth-oriented: The scholarship should be focused on enabling students’ individual growth, not celebrating past achievements.

• Valuable: Every student applying for the scholarship should gain long-term value from participation even if they are not one of the recipients.
